An experienced and nurturing Nanny is required in Chiswick to initially help a lovely Mum care for a new born and 2 year old boy, the role will then become sole charge when she finishes maternity leave in 6-9 months.
Mum is unable to do as much as she would like following a difficult labour and needs support, not only with the children, but the general running and upkeep of the house too, to include nursery duties, family meals and laundry. Once the role becomes sole charge, standard Nursery duties will apply.
You will be embraced as part of the family and will be happy to use your initiative to help out where needed, for example, preparing meals, stacking the dishwasher, running errands, making cups of tea and most importantly, making sure the 2 year old, who attends part time nursery, is given lots of love and attention and is made to feel very happy and secure, as he adjusts to a new baby brother.
This role requires an experienced sole charge Nanny that is happy for Mum to remain involved. The little boy is very robust and active and needs a fun and energetic Nanny that can keep up! He loves being out and about and relishes ‘one on one’ play too.
This really is a lovely role with a really lovely family, Nannies who are not at ease with shared care for the first 6-9 months should not apply for this role.
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8am – 6pm
You will primarily be caring for the two year old, whilst Mum cares for the baby. As mum is around, there will be lots of crossover, so experience as a Nanny with a baby and toddler is really important. As the baby grows, there will be more care of the baby and Mum will try to share her time between both children until she returns to work. This will be a fluid arrangement that will adapt to meet the demands of two children, so the ability to go with the flow is important. The eldest boy has an excellent routine and this will be the aim for the baby too. (Maternity Nurse currently employed).
To start ASAP.
